چکیده

Introduction/Background Preoperative diagnosis of uterine tumors is utmost importance to avoid inadvertent morcellation leiomyosarcoma (LMS) and unnecessary hysterectomy in childbearing patients. There are no pathognomonic criteria for malignancy on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The includes microscopic genomic analyses with array-Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH). To date, study has evaluated preoperative percutaneous needle biopsy (PUB) examination (M-PUB) array-CGH (MCGH-PUB). Methodology This a prospective single-center cohort including all consecutive patients who had LMS suspicion MRI whom PUB was performed. Microscopic index (GI) count myometrial were performed order guide the therapeutic strategy. Smooth muscle uncertain potential (STUMPs) GI superior 15 assessed malignant, as well complex profile (GI 30 and/or malignant profile). diagnoses based M-PUB MCGH-PUB compared postsurgical pathological specimen or follow-up non-operated tumors. Results From November 2016 February 2022, 34 included. Based surgical (n=23) follow up (n=11, 4 metastasis), final were: 11 sarcomas 23 non-sarcomas 22 LM one inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor[JS1] . median 12 months (IQR: 6–37). diagnostic accuracy 94% 100%. sensitivity, specificity Negative Predictive Value 100%, 100% A high significantly associated (p<0·001). allowed correct upgrade four after suspicious examination. complication dissemination track. Conclusion safe accurate discriminate pre operatively benign from sarcoma.

Evaluation of Diagnostic Value of CT Scan and MRI in Brain Tumors and Comparison with Biopsy

Abstract Background Cerebral neoplasm arises from brain, spinal cord and meningeal cells. Not only malignant cerebral neoplasm also benign tumor could lead to death due to mass effect on vital structures. Access to these tumors is difficult, and MRI and CT scan could be helpful in determining anatomical location of tumors and distinction of malignant from benign. Objective For better and ea...

PERCUTANEOUS TRANSTHORACIC BIOPSY USING TRU-CUT NEEDLE

Biopsies of thoracic lesions guidance. 22 of the 1 12 lesions were mediastinal and 83 were pleuroparenchymal. A large-bore 14-gauge Tru-cut needle was used in all patients. Adequate specimens for histologic examination were obtained in 98%. The overall accuracy was 91 % with 9% false negative and no false positive diagnoses. Despite the large size of the needle, the total number of complic...
